Service Description: Responsible for fire protection and prevention, and administration of the Ontario Fire Code
  • Issues applicable burn permits required for brush piles, incinerators and open fires, excluding campfires
  • Serves a population of approximately 100 residents
  • Maintains a fire hall, fire fighting equipment and 1 pump fire truck
Provides the following services:
  • Education
  • Emergency planning
  • Fire investigation
  • Fire suppression
  • Hazardous materials information
  • Home safety which includes ensuring all homes are equipped with smoke alarms and charged fire extinguishers
