Service Description:	Operates a fully-accredited 60-bed acute care facility and provides an array of services including: Acute care services Ambulatory care Chemotherapy Cardio pulmonary, stress testing and pulmonary function tests Complex continuing care Day surgery Dialysis unit (on-site provided by Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre) Diagnostic imaging (x-rays, mammography, ultrasound, CT scans) Emergency Department Infection control Land and air ambulance services Nutrition services Obstetrics and maternity Operating room and surgery Rehabilitation Ultrasound unit (includes mobile services in 17 First Nation communities) Programs include: Assault Care and Treatment Program (ACT) Foundation Mental Health and Addictions Services Mental Health and Addictions Services, Day Program Odotsemag (Health Choices for Healthy Babies) Program Outpatient Withdrawal Management Program Stroke Prevention Clinic Telemedicine (Telehealth Program) Traditional Healing, Medicine, Foods and Support Program Interpreter Services Provides interpreter services at Meno Ya Win Health Centre and William "Bill" George Extended Care Facility in the Oji-Cree, Ojibway and Cree languages Offers oral interpretation and written translation services (filling out forms etc) Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) Provides access to specialized medical care using videoconferencing and other tele-diagnostic equipment Allows specialists to remotely examine and prescribe treatments to patients in their home communities Reduces the need to travel to receive care Services and Programs: Assault Care and Treatment Program Centre for Complex Diabetes Care Emergency Department Extended Care Facility Healthy Lifestyles Mammography Mental Health and Addictions Program Prenatal and Maternity Rehabilitation Services Sioux Lookout Diabetes Program Telestroke Program Traditional Healing, Medicine, Food and Support Program
