Conflict can be a good thing

In your role as a caregiver, conflict isn't a possibility, it's a certainty. How you deal with it is another matter. Here's where conflict911.com comes in.  This site is chock-a-block with information and resources on how to deal with conflict on the work front, the home front, the life front.

Here's the thing, I've long believed that we live in a conflict-averse society. 'But of course,' you say - 'who likes conflict?' Well, no one likes conflict, but how are we to get to resolution if we don't first acknowledge or address the presence of conflict? As the homepage on conflict911.com states: "What's easy to forget is that conflict can be a negative thing, or it can be positive depending on the characteristics of the conflict, and how we manage and handle disputes and disagreements." I couldn't agree more. What kind of frame do you put around conflict?

This article on how to deal with difficult people from the author of When Difficult Relatives Happen to Good People is just one of more than 1,000 articles found on the site. Say it with me now: "Conflict can be a good thing."
