Is it time for a retirement residence?

Moving is no fun. I don’t care how organized you are, or how on top of it you feel, there’s always that point in time when you hit the junk drawer in the kitchen and you know you should be sorting through it, but instead you just dump it in a box.

Those last little odds and sods can be overwhelming. Every time we move, I swear this is it – this is the last time. One day that will be true, if we’re lucky to live long, full lives. This story in More.ca, is about the process that two sisters went through trying to convince their parents it was time to move into a retirement residence. It’s a great read, with a few surprises. If you’re now in the process of assessing retirement residences with your parent(s), here’s a comprehensive list from thehealthline.ca. If you think your parent(s) may need more assistance, contact your local Community Care Access Centre to help you assess the options.

Now how about you? How are you doing? Here’s an item for you from Canadian Living about 16 ways to have a better day. Don’t be distracted by the staged photos - the suggestions are quick and easy, and worth considering. Have a good one!
